Jobs/companies that hire foreigners in canada?

I would like to work in canada (So I can be with my boyfriend)
To get an open work permit, does that mean I have to find a place willing to hire me in canada (i’m currently outside of canada) and be in the same country to go for interviews and such.
Or is there a way I can apply for a job from online and do a phone interview.
Lastly I have no clue how to search for a job willing to hire foreigners.

You need permission to live and work in Canada. The only way you could enter otherwise would be on a tourist visa. As a tourist you may not work, seek work or settle permanently.

how can I tell if an intenet site is a scam? I’m particularly interested in data entry job scams?

If it’s an Internet site that promises or implies that you can make good money if you sign up on their site, you can pretty much bet it’s a scam. If they ask for a signup fee, then you can be sure it’s a scam.
