I'm looking for a free web design program for beginners can someone help? tips for hosting a web page would also be gratefully received. thank you in advance
Two very good freeware options are: NVU: NVU is a HTML editor and site manager that is easy enough for beginners to use but powerful enough to create important sites. It is closer in concept to Microsoft's FrontPage more than any other product but unlike FrontPage it, fortunately, product standards under the code. Its easy to use WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor will delight beginners in HTML HTML honchos can click on a tab to switch to code view. Download it here: http://www.nvu.com/. This version is a little buggy but. Kompozer is a better version: http://kompozer.net/. If you do not need the functionality but want WYSIWYG HTML with Highlight the code and all that, try PSPad (http://www.pspad.com/en/). That is what I personally use now, and it works fine. Simple and fast. Good luck! And I have my site hosted by Digitalus, that is fast, cheap and lost functions. But it is for the Dutch I'm afraid. Can not help you with that, sorry.
